Arnold Schwarzenegger Shares Hospital Time With Sylvester Stallone

Arnold Schwarzenegger is having surgery on his shoulder in the same hospital as Sylvester Stallone. The 64-year-old actor suffered some damage to his right shoulder while filming his latest movies and by coincidence his fellow action star was at the same medical centre to undergo a similar operation.

In a post on his WhoSay.com account, Arnold wrote: “After all the action, stunts & physical abuse shooting The Expendables 2 and The Last Stand, it was time for a little tune up on my shoulder. Look who was coincidentally waiting in line behind me for his shoulder surgery. Now we’re ready for another round of great times and action when we shoot The Tomb. #greattobeback)”

The former champion bodybuilder also posted a picture of the two legendary tough guys lying in hospital beds side-by-side.

Arnold only recently returned to acting after leaving his position as the Governor of California in 2011. The two actors battled to be the biggest action star of the 80s each starring in a string of blockbusters, with Schwarzenegger appearing in the ‘Terminator’ franchise, ‘Predator’ and ‘The Running Man’ and Stallone in the ‘Rocky’ and ‘Rambo’ movies. The pair both star in ‘The Expendables 2′, which is released in August, and in their next joint project ‘The Tomb’ sees them have to break out of an inescapable high-tech prison.

Sylvester Stallone Is Desperate To Make Another Rambo Movie

Sylvester Stallone is just “dying” to make another ‘Rambo’ movie.  The action star is desperate to reprise the role of Vietnam war veteran turned mercenary John Rambo for a fifth time and already has some plot ideas to incorporate.

He said:  “I’m dying to do another ‘Rambo’. He’s in Arizona on the border. It will involve him going into Mexico. I don’t think Rambo likes Mexicans.”

However, Sylvester admitted there may then not be another film in the series.  Asked if he would kill the character off, he told Macleans: “Yes.”

While the original Rambo movie, ‘First Blood’, was based on the novel by David Morrell, the endings differed and Sylvester admitted he changed it partly to open up the possibilities of turning the story into a franchise.

He explained:  “In the book, Rambo gets killed. I thought it was not the proper message. There had been close to 200,000 suicides by returning Vietnam vets. I said, ‘Why don’t we take him right to the edge without annihilating him?’ Quentin Tarantino said, ‘You’re a coward, you should have killed him!’ I said, ‘Quentin, you’re a lunatic. I want to do some sequels, brother.’ “
